Hon. Mickey Ibarra
After serving as Assistant to the President and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House for President Clinton, Mickey established the Ibarra Strategy Group. Prior to his White House appointment, he was the Political Manager for the National Education Association. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Latino Leaders Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to “Bringing Leaders Together.” Hispanic magazine named him among the “25 Most Powerful Hispanics in Washington, DC.” In addition, Mr. Ibarra is a member of the Ibarra Foundation Board of Directors and recently completed six years of service on the MALDEF Board. He received the inaugural Medallion of Excellence for Government Relations from the U.S. Hispanic Leadership Institute in 2012 and the NALEO President’s Award in 2001. He is a graduate of the University of Utah, with a Master’s degree and an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
